For Buyers

  • Confirm the vehicle’s condition, price, payment terms, and delivery arrangements in advance.
  • Meet in a secure, public place, ideally complete payment inside a bank.
  • Thoroughly inspect the vehicle and confirm it matches the specifications in the ad.
  • Beware of unrealistic offers. If the price is far below market, proceed with caution to avoid scams.
  • Do not transfer the transaction amount before the vehicle is delivered and inspected.
  • Verify the chassis number (VIN) against the vehicle documents.
  • Check theft history by verifying the engine and chassis numbers with the local police station.

For Sellers

  • Meet in a secure, public place, preferably complete the transaction inside a bank. Ensure the vehicle matches the details in your ad.
  • Try to receive full payment at the time of delivery.
  • Avoid cash transactions, use secure banking channels (money order, cheque, bank transfer).
  • Watch out for counterfeit currency, cheques, and money orders.
  • Verify the buyer’s credentials and request proof of identity and address.
  • Do not share any financial information beyond what is required to receive payment.
